Exciting news for OET's vaccine innovation programme and academic collaboration

A Royal Society Industry Fellowship has been awarded to Dr Victor Bolanos-Garcia, at Oxford Brookes University, hosted by Oxford Expression Technologies at our new facilities within Oxford Technology Park.

This collaboration will focus on using AI technologies to improve how key viral components are produced for vaccine development, addressing a critical challenge in ensuring viral proteins remain fully active after purification. Solving this issue will help OET accelerate the development of next-generation vaccines and therapeutics, benefiting pharmaceutical and biotech companies worldwide.

Beyond its industry impact, the fellowship will also support Dr Bolanos-Garcia's ongoing research into treatments for serious conditions linked to abnormal cell growth, including cancer and diseases associated with premature ageing.
